Eco Tourism Strategy
With their unspoiled landscapes, world-class archaeology, exceptional wildlife, and distinctive culture, Scotland’s Northern Isles are becoming increasingly popular destinations. It is, therefore, of paramount importance to balance ecological, cultural and socio-economic integrity while at the same time nurturing tourism, our fastest-growing industry.
Wildabout Orkney has an obligation to operate responsibly which is why we incorporate eco tourism principles into every facet of our business. We are committed to providing memorable island tours and holidays designed to promote local culture, protect natural history and minimise the impact of tourism. Wildabout Orkney is also dedicated to building relationships with local businesses to benefit our community and to provide the best possible experience for our guests.
Carbon Zero Wildabout
We have always made an effort to minimise our carbon dioxide emissions by reducing, re-using and recycling whenever possible. We then offset the remaining CO2 footprint generated by our tours, holidays, shore excursions and office through contributions to projects in Africa. We are proud to be a Carbon Zero company.
